Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company's Risk Management Program is an muti-faceted risk management initiative designed to create opportunities for attorneys and legal staff to learn about legal malpractice and ways to avoid it. The FLMIC Risk Management Program is supplemental to and does not replace resources available from The Florida Bar, its Sections, its Law Office Management Assistance Service (LOMAS) and its Ethics Hotline. FLMIC provides risk management information to its insureds as a benefit and as a service to the legal community. A newsletter called the Advisor is published quarterly and contains risk management information, updates on available CLEs and events as well as general information of interest. FLMIC offers a Speakers Bureau to its insureds, attorneys and members of the legal profession interested in risk management, legal malpractice, professional liability insurance and ethic issues. Most presentations have been approved for 1-2 hours of general or ethic CLE credit from The Florida Bar. There is no speaker fee and travel expenses are usually waived.
A weekly Risk Management Tip of the Week appears on FLMIC's home page. A new tip is posted every Tuesday and can be emailed to you electronically. If you would like to receive the Risk Management Tip of the Week electronically, email your email address to Risk Manger at nancys@flmic.com. "Risk Management Tips of the Week," which were previously posted are available by looking in the Risk Management Tips - Archive. If you have a topic or tip that you would like to share with others, let us know and contact Risk Manager.

The 12 module series not only provides practical risk management information but has also been approved for CLE credit from The Florida Bar. There is no additional charge to insureds to participate in the Loss Prevention Webinar Series.
